Shampa Sircar Das, draws inspirations from Indian folk and tribal art, which is so intimately associated with Indian heritage and philosophy. Being an avid traveller she has travelled the length and breadth of India, closely interacting with the rural and natural environment of this country. Her works are resplendent in symbols that are embedded in a common cultural matrix and uses a synthesis of philosophy, aesthetics and technique.

Her journey, spans from B.F.A. (1993), MFA (1995) from Delhi, to numerous prestigious solo exhibitions and over 300 group shows in India and abroad including Galleries and International Art Fairs in India, New York, Dubai, California Chicago, London, Vietnam, and Singapore. Her imageries, amorphous and fluid, carry in them many stories and metaphors of the past, present, and future; yet they sustain just as much silence.

The Artist has received accolades like the Raja Ravi Verma Samman, Make In India Award ' Bharat Nirnan Award' for Brilliance in the field of Art, Certificate of Appreciation ICCR Delhi, among many more. Her works have been in Auctions of Saffron India, Times of India group, Art and Deal , Khushi Art foundation and Concern Art Foundation. The Artist has been part of prestigious camps organised by well known Corporate and Government institutions . Her works are in collection of various National and International collectors, Corporate Houses, Ambassadors, Embassies and Government Organizations. Shampa lives and works from her studio in Delhi, India.
